- A Big Data Solutions Architect should have a lot of experience gained in
normal solutions architecture before making the move to big data solutions. - Ability to lead large and varied technical and project teams.
- Ability to clearly articulate pros and cons of various technologies and platforms.
- Perform architecture design, data modeling, and implementation of Big Data platform and analytics applications.
- Have experience in designing solutions for multiple large data warehouses
with a good understanding of cluster and parallel architecture as well as
high-scale or distributed RDBMS and/or knowledge on NoSQL platforms. - Ability to design an architect and implement complex big data solutions.
- Ability to document use cases, solutions and recommendations.
- Help program and project managers in the design, planning and governance of
implementing Big Data Projects. - On Premises Big Data Platforms such as Cloudera or Hortonworks.
- Data Lake design and implementation.
- Design and deployment of Elasticsearch for massive volume of data.
- Big Data Analytics frameworks and query tools such as Spark, Storm,
Hive, Impala. - Streaming data tools and techniques such as Kafka.
- ETL tools such as Pentaho or Talend.
- Continuous delivery and deployment using Agile Methodologies.
- Data Warehouse and Data Mart design and implementation.
- NOSQL environments such as MongoDB and Cassandra.Metadata management, data lineage, data governance related to Big
Data.
