Job Summary:
The Counter Sales Officer is involved in store customer service, order fulfillment and sales support. This incumbent will handle all sales functions in a professional manner for counter customers by providing prompt and efficient service to achieve maximum sales and customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and politely enquire about their requirements
• Demonstrate excellent product knowledge and recommend relevant products to the customers which can satisfy their needs and increase sales of the branch
• Handle the processing of all orders with accuracy and timelines
• Exhibit a positive, friendly and helpful attitude with customers and be sensitive to their needs
• Determine merchandise required by customer and suggest alternative or additional items related to the order
• Influence customers with effective sales proposition, based on product knowledge
• Maintain counter area displays of merchandise in an orderly and attractive manner
• Create sales order, receive payment or obtain credit information
• Select appropriate merchandise from stock. In case of unavailability of materials, coordinate with warehouse to understand if the products asked for are available at warehouses
• Build customer relationships for repeat business opportunities
• Reconciliation cash and credit card batch reports
• Assist and resolve customer complaints
• Keeps abreast of new product information and upcoming product promotions
• Any additional tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager
• Remove security devices, pack purchases and properly prepare merchandise for customer transportation
• Operate cash registers and count money transactions at the end of the day
• Collect payments from customers for in-house purchases and keep record of them in terms of bills and receipts
• Prepare daily reports on the total sales at the counter
