Designs, creates, and updates web pages. Creates design layouts for Intranet and Internet websites. Develops software solutions especially for websites; that includes design, implementation, and support of web applications. Needs to be competent in database development and management and have a high proficiency in .NET applications; both web and windows. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of skills and experience in a variety of areas. Below is a list of the most commonly sought after skills, with highly sought after examples listed in brackets. Experience in desktop publishing/imaging applications (Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia. Fireworks), Drawing (Adobe Illustrator), Page Layout (Dreamweaver), and Multimedia (Macromedia Flash). Experience in object oriented programming languages (C#). Experience in .NET as a development platform for both web (ASP . NET) and windows-based applications. Experience in JavaScript and AJAX. Experience in XML Web services. Experience with web server technology (IIS). Experience in SharePoint Portal Server (MOSS) 2007 UI customization and configuration. Knowledge of current Internet design standards, web browsers, and web browser specifications. Ability to manage web site content and layout design. Knowledge of relational databases, and database integration. Object-Oriented design skills (UML).
