The medical delegate is responsible for the ethical promotion of Nestlé Infant Nutrition products in his /her territory by clearly communicating to medical / paramedical contacts accurate information about these products, their features and benefits and their appropriate use within guidelines as set by NME Nutrition.
To actively educate HCPs on the importance of exclusive breastfeeding during the first 6 months of life and the continuation of it for as long as possible after the introduction of complementary feeding.
When breastfeeding is not possible: to provide accurate and scientific information to HCPs based on expressed needs, about Nestlé's Infant Nutrition Products and services: their fact based features, advantages, benefits and their appropriate use within the WHO- Code on BMS, Nestlé policies and Instructions and local legislation.
To provide accurate and factual information regarding the hazards/dangers linked to the use of inappropriate Breastmilk substitutes, i.e. Cow's / Buffalo's milk, rice water.
Key Outputs:
Active recommendation by HCPs of Nestlé's Infant Nutrition Products and services where and when appropriate and when exclusive breastfeeding is not possible.
Develop long term mutually beneficial professional relationships with HCPs and relevant medical decision makers
Be The recognized Trusted Infant Nutrition Solution Provider and Partner by and with HCPs
Optimum territory coverage and management including prospection and insights gathering and sharing (i.e. competitive intelligence), through relevant tools/systems like the MDMS
To ensure quality service to HCPs through proper monitoring of product availability, visibility, freshness and pricing within the territory
Creation, implementation and Execution of agreed territory action plan within the allocated budget.
Ensure strict adherence and compliance on all activities undertaken, including those taking place on trade, to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes and Nestle Instructions and local country codes.
