Job Summary:
Customs Broker is responsible for ensuring the imported materials and goods are cleared in the customs department. He gathers and prepares necessary documentation and coordinates with customs officials to ensure smooth clearance of goods and materials.
Job Responsibilities:
• Supervise assistant customs officer in collating all the information needed to complete the clearance, ensuring all information added is correct and accurate, following the Saudi Arabian customs requirements, daily contacts with Saudi custom & clearing agents
• Oversee follow up of relevant Customs Clearance procedure so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• Plan the day to day operations related to own jobs and that of the assistant customs officer at the Custom clearance sites to ensure continuity of work
• Supervise coordination with internal purchase officers for goods transportation once the customs release is finalized
• Develop and implement cost-saving measures
• Review and verify documents i.e. Invoice, Packing list, Weight List, Certificate of Origin, Exporter Certificate, Shipment Advise, Delivery Note & Legalized Documents as per customs requirements
• Ensure on time, accuracy and completeness of required shipping documents
• Manage all documents in relation to customs clearance
• Maintain confidentiality of Company
