The Dynamics AX Functional Consultant / Business Analyst shall process and apply advanced analysis skills and experience to define appropriate solutions, develop detailed solution architecture and estimates for the Dynamics AX implementation for business and contribute to modules, forms, workflows and reports development and customizations based on business needs; additionally the role requires the ability to work as an intermediary between Business & Solution Providers. He shall also act as a first level of support to business queries and issues and knowledge transfer the same to solution providers and vice versa, also act as a single point of contact for all Dynamics AX related queries to Business.
Job Responsibilities:
• Participates in every aspect of the implementation from analyzing the customer’s business requirements to configuring Microsoft Dynamics AX application to meet the business needs
• Collaborates with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current business processes
• Provides knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX and evaluates the companies’ business processes against the standard Microsoft Dynamics AX functionality
• Demonstrates experience in use of the prescribed Microsoft Dynamics implementation methodology, understands the key activities and deliverables for the internal projects
• Responsible for documenting the business requirements which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected
• Responsible for configuring Microsoft Dynamics ERP to achieve the business requirements
• Facilitates the decision-making process and develops the functional design document that will drive the development process (if modifications / customizations are required, either to processes or to the Microsoft Dynamics application.)
• Responsible for conducting acceptance testing and training customer resources to successfully use and maintain Microsoft Dynamics AX
• Understand, analyze, and understands operation within the broader business context
• Implementing the design. Deployment, testing and support plan
• Process development based industry specific best practices
• Drive the internal training sessions for AX finance, production, CRM, warehouse and logistics to users
• Ensure practices for coding pattern of AX is followed in development
• Has industry experience and understands challenges and risks when implementing vertical applications, primarily within Finance, Production, Dynamics CRM, Human Resources
• Responds to support requests from Dynamics AX users to ensure the smooth operation of the business functions
