Job Purpose
Coordinates Environmental aspects of plant activities including preparing all required Government reports and records. Maintains plant permits and ensure plant staffs know the requirements. Supports plant improvement plans and capital projects.
Key Accountabilities:
Documents and maintains practices and procedures that ensure reliable, environmentally compliant, incident-free activities at PCC facilities. Maintains critical environmental permits, records, and reports.
Develop and sponsor training programs to ensure all personnel understand company and Government environmental responsibilities and work practices. Develop practices, procedures and sponsors training programs that improve the execution of environmental procedures and results.
Provide support for plant improvement teams. Identify and track Environmental metrics and cost data associated with plant operations. Develop and communicate strategic improvement plans. Ensure improvement plans are aligned with and integrated into plant budgeting processes.
Coordinate, develop, and maintain documents, permits, and records needed to meet government requirements. Ensure all Government reporting requirements are identified and communications are made in a timely manner. Support the preparation of manpower plans, expense budgets, and capital budgets that ensure environmental reliability, and compliant, incident-free execution of plant O&M activities and capital projects.
Help audit and provide oversight of contract personnel to ensure they work in an environmentally compliant manner and provide high quality services for plant projects. Provide training on core environmental practices and procedures to contract personnel as needed to ensure good Environmental metrics and results.
Ensure critical Department policies, practices and procedures are documented and maintained in accordance with the plant Operational Excellence System Standards and Specifications. Carry out document management and retention activities as scheduled and in a timely manner.
