1. Perform detailed technical evaluation/review of the tender documents (Specs, Drawings, Bill of Quantities [BOQ]) to identify any deviations or conflicts, and ensure that any inquiries or clarifications (Request for Information- RFI) are raised well to the client.
2. Divide the project into packages, create Request for Quotation (RFQ), contact suppliers and subcontractors to
obtain price offers, conduct comparison studies for suppliers’ and subcontractors’ quotations, ensure that responses to RFQs match project specs, and develop cost estimation - in response to the client’s Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and the client’s specific requirements - to create the technical offer (including the vendor list and method of statement).
3. Perform Q.S for projects as per work need.
4. Conduct site visits to understand the project nature and obtain information needed for accurate cost estimation, and provide summary report.
5. Communicate with the Procurement department to either obtain the most updated price offers of suppliers and sub-contractors, to get quotations of suppliers and subcontractors who are, otherwise, hard to reach, or get relevant information about suppliers and subcontractors for cost estimation and calculation.
6. Coordinate with the Civil tendering team in any joint projects to align on mutual tasks (e.g. Building Management Systems – BMS, Digital Direct Banner– DDB, Motorized Central Control – MCC), and reflect relevant information on the cost estimation and analysis of electrical projects.
7. Meet with suppliers to obtain updates on price offers and quotations or respond to inquiries.
