• Manage servers, storage devices, and other server related devices as required. • Develop, manage, and perform backups and recovery of servers and running applications in addition to verifying of completion of scheduled backup tasks. • Design, implement, install and configure new servers as required. • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for servers` hardware and software issues and provide recommendations as needed. • Designing and adhering to server maintenance procedures • Liaising with clients, IT project managers and other related IT staff as necessary. • Evaluate new applications’ server requirement as necessary • Assist in application commissioning and integration with the required systems. • Provide proactive and reactive server management support and training to users as needed • Monitor servers for performance and availability. Take action and implement changes as needed. Apply new updates and upgrades when required. • Visit the company’s client sites as needed to perform the tasks. • Document all related information, write reports and operating manuals. • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures. • Contribute to and maintain system standards. • Respond to and resolve helpdesk request • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
