Job Summary:
To provide specialized services for the diagnosis and management of disease under the scope of care of the related specialty at the facility and at patient's resident.
Principal Duties:
l. Providing specialized service in the designated discipline.
2. Diagnose and treat emergency and chronic problems.
3. Evaluate and treat medical, surgical, psychiatric, ob/gyne, and pediatrics cases in a timely and compassionate manner related to his/her specialty.
4. Interviewing and examining patients and ordering laboratory tests, x-rays and other tests to assess their health and diagnose health problems.
5. Recommending care and treatment which may include prescribing medication or treatment, nutritional advices or referral to specialist physicians or other health care professionals.
6. Consulting/communicating with other professionals and referring patients for specialized care.
7. Educate patients about diseases, injuries prevention and how to maintain healthy lives.
8. Providing comprehensive care.
9. Maintaining accurate, timely and legible medical records.
10. Identifying of home care needs of the patient.
11. Performing patients home visits as appropriate and driving to patient's home as required.
12. On-call coverage.
Educational Requirements:
1. Graduate of MBBS from a medical school recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and acceptable to KFMC.
2. Successful completion of three (3) or more years in a specialty residency training program recognized by SCHS and acceptable to KFMC
3. Certified by the appropriate board recognized by SCHS and acceptable to KFMC (e.g. Saudi Board, Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Board).
4. One or more years of specialty training in a recognized program outside
Saudi Arabia
5. Training and post certificate experience equal to or greater than six (6) in a health care facility recognized by KFMC.
6. Independent practice in the specialty.
7. Should meet the SCHS criteria within one year of application
Training:
One year of internship in a recognized training program.
Other Requirements:
1. Knowledge in Home Health Care.
2. License or accreditation for medical staff.
3. Saudi Commission for Health Specialties registered.
