Job Objective

Ensure the inventory levels and assets are in line with the needs of different plant permanently, storage needs, follow-up of the manufacturing cycle in terms of consumption of raw materials, and storage of non-primary materials.

Task and Responsibilities

1- Planning and monitoring

• 
  
• Working with supply chain sector representatives to develop strategic plans and objectives, policies and general orientations that ensure the company's strategy.
• 
  
• Develop short-term action plans to achieve department objectives.
• 
  
• Participate in developing the annual budget of the Department and maintain all costs and expenses within the budget.
• 
  
• Work with the plant manager, sales manager and procurement manager to ensure that the plant's storage needs are met and to communicate with relevant departments regarding storage policies with the concerned authorities.
• 
  
• The warehouse manager is the link between production, procurement and sales, in terms of determining the planning of stock levels in partnership with them.
• 
  
• Develop plans to expand, update or modify the assets of storage in accordance with the company's various plans related to production, sales and procurement.
• 
  
• Ensure compliance with the best practices of storage of raw materials, equipment and spare parts in the cement industry.
• 
  

2- Operations

• 
  
• Implement strategic initiatives and inform all individuals within the Department of these initiatives.
  
• 
  
• Review, evaluate, and update the policies and procedures.
• 
  
• Advise and direct all employees to ensure efficient and effectiveness of work flow.
• 
  
• Ensure that tasks and responsibilities are practiced basis on the policies and procedures.
• 
  
• Ensure that policies and procedures are in line with the safety standards approved by the government of Saudi Arabia.
• 
  
• Follow-up of daily operations, as receiving, disbursing, delivering, and issuing periodic reports.
• 
  
• Continuous monitoring the assets, levels of inventory and rate of raw material consumption. Also, ensure the maintenance of their records to reflect the real situation.
• 
  
• Coordinate with production, procurement and sales departments to ensure that their various requirements are met according to the agreed plan.
• 
  
• Setting standards and supervising their implementation to arrange and coordinate the warehouse in order to maintain storage conditions, arrange storage methods, and activate traffic, storage and retrieval within the warehouse.
• 
  
• Develop a system that classify the plant materials in terms type, nature of use, and coding according to the approved coding system to increasing the efficiency of the storage process.
• 
  
• Provide the needed information to plant manager in terms of inventory levels, and provide them for purchases and sales to integrate the operations of storage and supply chains.
• 
  
• Examination, testing and follow-up of all materials purchased locally and abroad, which are supplied to the warehouses in cooperation with the relevant departments.
• 
  
• Follow up and take decisions on damaged items and causes of damage.
• 
  
• Participation and / or direct intervention in the contracts and agreements for warehouse department, and related discussions, negotiations and approvals.
• 
  
• Participate in the recruitment process in terms of conducting interviews with HR department.
• 
  
• Follow up the performance of direct subordinates
•
