• Responsible for developing and implementing research and development techniques to meet the objectives of the agricultural project. Study and analyse different kinds of crops, plant dates and varieties by performing testing, and provide report and recommendation to the management to be used to assist in variety and practices which will be levelled up to commercial scale.

• Design and monitor crop variety trials, for all potential crops, with variations in plant variety, plant dates, nutrition and irrigation regime. Responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring of the trials, including aspects such as emergence, plant populations, health, vegetative growth at various stages, crop yields, pest and disease resistance, yield maps, analysis of results and writing of scientific reports, etc, with a view to including and discounting varieties and giving insight into effects of plant harvest dates, etc.
