The Role:
Developing, configuring and implementing network infrastructure technologies including Local Area Network(LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), intranet…etc. In addition to evaluating network performance,implementing periodic preventive and corrective maintenance to Zain's computer networks infrastructure,and troubleshooting network malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
The Responsibilities:
\[ Developing, configuring and implementing network infrastructure technologies including Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), intranet…etc. as per Zain's requirements and standards.
\[ Handling installations and connections of computers and network systems while ensuring the proper functioning of Zain's servers, as well as maintaining data center networks and updating network systems' hardware and software
\[ Developing and monitoring network security controls, procedures and firewalls to protect the system from physical harm, unauthorized access, viruses, data damage…etc. and ensuring proper and secure designs of computer networks and IT infrastructure at Zain as per the related standards and procedures.
\[ Troubleshooting networks and systems issues and malfunctions and tackling other related operational difficulties as well as conducting periodic preventive and corrective maintenance to Zain's network infrastructure to ensure proper and time resolution.
\[ Assessing current network performance, in addition to identifying future capacity and expansion requirements to ensure utmost network availability and performance.
\[ Designing and implementing network infrastructure along with evaluating and providing recommendations on the purchasing of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment and software.
\[ Maintaining a database of the current network status and related problems, as well as reporting any major incidents in order to take the suitable action in that regard.
\[ Participating in the development of the network function's work plan; distributing and following up on work activities, projects and programs, monitoring work flow and reviewing work methods and procedures and suggesting plans and programs to boost the effectiveness of the IT function.
\[ Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the direct supervisor.
