• Leadership: Ensure the effective achievement of Human Resources functional objectives through the leadership of the Training department – setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare the Training department budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
• Training Policies & Procedures: Formulates Training policies, programs and schedules based on training schedules so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
• Training Manuals and Records: Supervises the development and update of Training manuals to ensure consistent and comprehensive delivery of training programs. Ensure that records are maintained on all training programs conducted and a database of trainee participation and performance on each program to facilitate the conduct of future training programs.
• Training Needs Analysis: Identify training needs across the relevant area of the business and determine project costs/benefits to put in place programmes that derive the greatest return on investment for Nadec.Screens, tests, counsel, and recommend employees for participation in internal or external educational and training programs.
• Research: Maintain an awareness of external Consultants and Trainers who can conduct training in special topics or available package training programs in order to identify appropriate training opportunities. Maintain a record of the evaluation of external Trainers, Consultants, and Training service providers.
• Training Delivery: Personally conduct selected programmes to internal audiences as required in order to impart learning to Nadec employees.
• Training Evaluation: Review and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes, identifying any changes required and ensuring these are carried out to deliver training that best meets the needs of internal stakeholders.
• Induction and Orientation: Develop and implement a company induction program for orienting new employees on the company and introducing them to the relevant people, policies and procedures they need to be aware of.
• Development Programs: Design, develop and introduce and support development programs e.g. graduate development programs, summer internships, ERP certification programs, in order to develop students and in-house talent with a view to sustaining company initiatives.
