A major government start-up in Riyadh is seeking a Head of Legal to manage and expand the Legal department. This role will take major focus in developing processes, contracts, and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Client Details
Semi governmental entity, current focus on telecoms, property/real estate and management
Description
Contribute to the development of the Legal Department strategy and participate in its implementation by performing and delegating legal and related activities;
Approve sectional policies, procedures, systems and frameworks as developed by subordinate sections, to ensure efficient and streamlined operations across the Legal Department. Provide technical input for enhancement;
Manage the Legal Department budget by allocating financial resources and operating within specified limits and guidelines;
Act as the legal adviser for all organisational units and support the business objectives directly through expert advice and leadership of all legal activities;
Oversee and manage all legal issues relating to the Government and/or other operators and landlords;
Plan, establish and maintain relationships with external entities (partners, stakeholders, regulators and other relevant governmental institutions) to ensure an effective legal environment for the business;
Provide guidance over the operational activity of the department;
Perform other duties as requested.
Profile
Candidates who apply must meet all of the following criteria:
- Qualified Lawyer / LLB / LLM with over 8 years experience
- Saudi National is a must
- Recent experience in Real Estate/Property and drafting of related agreements with landlords and government entities
- Telecommunications/Media/Technology/Security/Facilities industry experience is advantageous
