- Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times.
- Preparation of quotations, negotiation with supplier whose price is lower than the other supplier and in negotiation stage always keeping in view that the delivery of the material should be within the site requirement.
- Negotiation of payment terms with the supplier according to company terms and conditions / commercial terms: i.e. payment through L/C, advance payment against bond performance bond, certificate of origin and extended warranty certificates for equipment.
- Negotiate the best payment terms and contract conditions, to obtain best price and service and maintains high level of integrity.
- Place an order to supplier in accordance to project requisition / specification.
- Establish delivery terms, time and stages of inspection for the supply with project management team.
- Analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements.
- Maintain the BOQ with updates from suppliers until after awarding the contract.
- Verify site requisition in accordance with approved material submittal. If found any discrepancies, check / verify with site team/initiator of site requisition.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals.
- Ensure that all potential suppliers are provided with identical information upon which the quotations are given equal opportunity to meet the desired requirements.
- Review current processes for procurement and make recommendations where appropriate.
- Prepare schedule of comparison and provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls and processes.
