Summary:
The Waste Treatment Operator controls flow to process wastewater effluent and sludge , maintains operations logs and plant operating records, performs preventive maintenance and minor repair work on machinery and equipment , and performs other duties as directed
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet the authority requirement in the quality and quantity of effluents.
- Controls flow and quality to process wastewater effluent and sludge,
- maintains operations logs and plant operating records,
- performs preventive maintenance and minor repair work on machinery and equipment,
- performs other duties as directed.
- Support wastewater sampling and analysis of the facility’s production operations and within the facility’s industrial wastewater treatment system, including physical and chemical analyses on industrial wastewater samples, metals Total Suspended Solids, pH , etc.
- Prepares and archives documentation regarding wastewater analytical results by an outside contract analytical laboratory
- Records in-plant test results, various meter readings, gauge reading, flow quantities and other technical data.
