Purpose of Work

To specify, analyze, engineer, design, implement and support information systems that facilitate the refinery operations and business activities of SAMREF. This includes: Local and wide area network infrastructure and personal computers, Cyber Security, SAP and business application systems, Computer Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) systems and any non-process based IT system. To maximize the availability and efficient utilization of information required for running SAMREF business. To insure the reliable operation of the refinery computing infrastructure. To research and investigate current information technology and make recommendations on how it may be applied to benefit the profitability of SAMREF.

Responsibilities

• Support: Investigate and resolve systems issues which cannot be resolved by help desk technicians and ensure all problems are resolved in a timely manner.
• 
  
• Development: Program/Configure Business Application as applicable to reflect the requirements of existing business practices. Document all changes.
• 
  
• Training/Documentation: Provide computer systems software applications documentation and provide training support on the use of software packages or functionality updates.
• 
  
• Project Handling: Participate in specification and engineering of new/enhanced systems to meet the operational and business requirements of SAMREF
•
