1. Responsible for implementing quality assurance plan & ensuring compliance to the same.
2. Involved in conducting stage inspections based on approved QAP’S/ITP’S and drawings.
3. Raw material inspection like correlation with TC and Heat & Plates no’s.
4.Cutting & shearing inspection of materials as per the approved drawings.
5. Fabrication inspection of different materials such as tanks , vessels , boilers , rafters as per approved drawings and ASME code.
6.In detail fabrication inspection of the material & according to diagonal, cutback, slope etc.
7. To perform the welder qualification based on ASME SEC-IX (SMAW/SAW/FCAW/GMAW).
8.Review the test certificates of welding consumables.
9. Fit up dimensional (rootgap, root face, bevel angle, offset) root DP.
10. Visual inspection for welds as per procedure & specs.
11. Welding process & inspection according to specified WPS/PQR.
12. According to the ITP performing various NDT activities such as PT, UT, MT, RT.
13. For RT interacting with NDT inspection services. Approved by the client for testing of welds.
14. Responsible for stage wise painting/coating
application.
15. Monitor the weather conditions for surface preparation and painting/coating application.
16. Hot dip galvanizing coating inspection for galvanizing materials.
17.Prepare all necessary QA/QC documents for and handed over to client review
18. Preparation/reviewing of Inspection Test Plan (ITP/QAP).
19. Reviewing & approving application, testing and working procedures.
20. Reviewing Technical Delivery Condition (TDC).
21. Reviewing the Bill of Material (BOM) and coordinating with vendor/client.
22. Reviewing vendors Quality & testing procedures.
23. Engineering drawing (Pressure Vessels, storage tanks, structural & piping).
24. Providing necessary tool box training for raw material inspectors, fabricators, welders, painters.
25. Preparing weld map, NDEplan, WPS/PQR/WQT etc… as per data sheet.
26. Maintaining welding parameters during welding.
27. Welding visual inspections.
28. Analyzing for distortion due to welding before and after welding.
29. PWHT and Pre-heating.
30. NDT inspections (LPI, MPT,UT, RT, VT).
