Key Objectives of the role: Lead the Finance Department to manage the preparation of Project Cost Accounting, company accounts and financing.
Main Tasks of the role
- Record, manage and circulate Project Costing reports in real-time.
- Lead the finance team through coaching and mentoring to ensure efficiency and accuracy of Accounting.
- Lead the finance team through coaching and mentoring to ensure efficiency and accuracy of Accounting.
- Preparation of Annual Budget.
- Arrange project finance, bank loans and Letters of Credit and to manage credit collection process.
- Responsible for conducting regular reviews and subsequent planning of the finance organisation, to ensure: 1. Budget planning and achievement 2. Resources available to fund sustainable growth YoY 3. Responsible for ensuring that deliverables are met against service plans 4. Achievement of the longer term strategy and business plans of the company.
- Analysing new business opportunities and project proposals for the company.
- VAT, Zakat and all other taxation.
- Management of networks & stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure their needs are met to a high standard consistently.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations including IFRS accounting standards and generally assisting with the resolution of related compliance problems. Work with company Auditors to deliver statutory Accounts in reasonable time after year end.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the line manager.
