On behalf of our client (government entity) in Saudi Arabia, we are recruiting for the below position:
Title: Infrastructure & Operations Manager
Location: Saudi Arabia
Reporting to: IT Director
Industry: Government Entity
Job Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring that the Infrastructure requirements are gathered, well understood, documented, communicated and aligned to IT systems whereby implemented Infrastructure deliver business benefits and achieve end user satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist the IT Director in managing the Information Technology department at RCU which is responsible for managing the following IT activities:
oInformation Technology Planning
oNetwork Management & Operations
oHelp Desk
oInformation System Security
oTelecommunications systems
oDaily provisioning of services and operations of the IT department- Ensure proper maintenance of various aspects of network connectivity, servers and systems including LANs, WANs, security and wireless implementations and other data communications systems to ensure uninterrupted performance and availability of the networks across all service lines.
- Establish network specifications by conferring with users; analyse workflow, access, information, and security requirements; design router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
- Monitor network performance to optimize software usage, hard disk space utilization and back-ups.
- Develop test procedures and plan for network enhancements, hardware modifications and firmware upgrades.
- Lead the installation and commissioning of new LAN/WAN systems and coordinate with IT suppliers for installation requirements and equipment deliveries.
- Mange the installation, configuration and troubleshoot the Domain Controllers, Exchange Servers and Internet Servers to ensure that the systems are online, continuously monitored and all data is successfully backed up.
- Ensure regular maintenance programmes and schedules for the network & systems, involving internal IT department team as well as suppliers through maintenance contracts.
- Manage and schedule activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Ensure on-site and remote support to users for problems related to the network, the operator, the software, operating systems and system hardware diagnosis.
- Maintain and implement detailed information system security policies and procedures (with defined responsibilities, accountability, measures and procedures); and, ensure strict adherence to policies and procedures and take corrective actions as and when necessary.
- Plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
- Develop plans to safeguard computer files against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction, or disclosure and to meet emergency data processing needs.
- Collaborate with business and Risk Management teams to develop and implement practices that are essential to promote the information security at RCU.
- Maintain security and confidentiality over the issuance and proper maintenance of authorized User ID's and passwords including maintenance of valid and current user lists
- Identify vulnerabilities that may cause inappropriate or accidental access, destruction, or disclosure of information of information, and recommend security controls necessary to eliminate or minimize their potential impact.
- Review of all user access right of RCU's systems.
- Review violations of computer security procedures and discuss procedures with violators to ensure violations are not repeated
- Report security violations to IT Director
- Ensure systems availability and connectivity at all
