Job Role:
To operate and maintain the facilities in the Control Room and/or field, through established Procedures in order to produce power and water safely, efficiently and within the strict environment and contractual limits.
Task and Duties
• Safety is a top priority for the DCS Operator that overrides production and schedule considerations. It includes personal safety of the people assigned to the start-up, shutdowns or special daily activities as well as operational/process safety.
• Consistently read & follow all operating procedures and departmental instructions
• Recommends changes to operating and departmental procedures that will improve the safety and effectiveness of the operations.
• Analyzes the log report to pin point any problems and takes immediate actions as delegated to avoid trips / disturbance that could lead into loss of time & revenue.
• monitor the daily individual units power/steam generation and gas/ liquid fuel consumption and submits to Shift supervisor

• monitor the daily power / steam generation according to the time ensuring that generation covers the required level
