Position : I.E. Electrician.
Reports to : I.E. Chief technician
Job Description
Location : ALL Centers - I.E. Service Department Summary:
the purpose of this position Is to maintain service and repair material handling equipment, systems and products on company premises or at customer site in a timely and cost - effective manner so that the customer and company needs are met.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Services of material handling & warehouse equipment and maintaining its serviceability to specified standards and according to procedures by delivering quality service/maintenance.
• Performs accurate diagnosis / troubleshooting in event of breakdown of equipment; communicate what are needed by advising customer and/or supervisor.
• Does the job right at first time.
• Repairs, removes and replaces faulty system and parts.
• Rebuilds and adjusts parts and systems as required.
• Adjusts and repairs electrical systems.
° Tests and restores material handling & warehouse equipment to manufacturer's specifications.
• Keeps work area clean and tidy all times.
• Follows safety & environment regulations.
• Maintains an adequate Inventory of technician's hand tools to meet the service and repair requirements.
• Ensures proper communication between self, workshop staff and customer.
• Provides services with polite and professional manner.
• Carries out PDI & Modification Jobs on new units as required.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and STEP training.
• Promotes service / maintenance programs.
• Attends all the meeting announced by chief technician.
