Job Summary:
Reports all neurophysiologic procedures such as Electroencephalography (routine, bedside and longterm
monitoring), Evoked Potentials (Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential, Visual Evoked Potential & Somatosensory Evoked Potential), Nerve Conduction Studies & Intraoperative Neurophysiology and ensure that standard protocols are applied in all these neurophysiologic studies.
Principal Duties:
1) Report all Neurophysiologic studies, ensuring that standard protocols are applied.
2) Applies and teaches new techniques as per the advances in the field of Neurophysiology.
3) Oversees the operation of the Neurophysiology Laboratory including the on-going training of technicians, resident and fellows
4) Participates in clinical and laboratory researches in Neurophysiology.
5) Assists with recruitment, selection and evaluation of technical staff as per KFMC administrative policies.
6) Participates and encourage, continuous professional education irmong the staff in the department.
7) Participates in national and international scientific meetings.
8) Creates scientific links with international bodies in Neurophysiology.
Education Requirements:
- Approved Board in Medicine, Neurology or Pediatric Neurology + (Fellowship in Neurophysiology/Subspecialty of Neurophysiology or any formal training related to Neurophysiology)
Experiences:
at least 3years in Neurophysiology
