- Setting short and long term plans and providing the required resources for the implementation of those plans.
- Setting plans and programs that strive to improve the effectiveness of the department.
- Monitoring the technical performance of the department and following up on the set Key Performance Indicators.
- Directing and managing accounting functions including maintenance of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and fixed assets and ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintaining the general ledger and all related AP & AR accounts with proper documentation and records of all company and branches transactions; reviewing entries to the general and subsidiary ledgers to assure accuracy and compliance with the company's and established accounting principles.
- Verifying and approving all suppliers payment requests, cheques and transfers.
- Monitoring cash balances and analyzing cash sufficiency for meeting company cash flow requirements for suppliers, expenses and loans settlement.
- Preparing motors combined financial reports and related analysis, ratios, Actual Vs Budget.
- Verifying DZAIT monthly reports and prepared combined DZAIT motors report.
- Managing end year closing of the general ledger including preparation of journal entries.
- Representing financials to direct supervisor by reviewing all contracts, commitments and obligations before providing technical advice/ opinion.
- Coordinating & supporting management with costs eliminates & related needed information for new biddings, projects.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining systems, procedures and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Managing monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information; ensuring accuracy of financial statements.
- Providing accounting/ Finance assistance to staff; responding to accounting questions/concerns to meet business needs.
- Acting as a liaison between the company, government and external accountants to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.
- Supporting in the financial study & technical opinion related to any new business opportunities or expansions related to the cash flow, financial risks & ratios.
- Providing management with SWOT analysis region wise to enable them to take proper decision.
- Alerting management with any dramatic increase in cost elements that will affect the profitability or the stability of the business.
- Providing advice & solutions regarding the bad depts. & uncollectable receivables.
- Assuring that accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the company's accounting policies,chart of accounts and related accounting principles and practices, and that subordinate ledgers reconcile with the general ledger.
- Coordinating with banks to ensure that appropriate arrangements are made to handle cash positions.
- Analyzing overall strategic targets and determining company performance indicators related to Finance business processes.
- Providing full commentary reports and analysis of company's financial budget and forecast.
- Providing management with Monthly, quarterly & Annual Financial data needed to make managerial decisions.
- Preparing / consolidating of monthly rolling forecasts.
- Reviewing and analyzing senior accountant MIS reports.
- Reviewing Assets Physical Counts results and providing analysis and feedback.
- Managing bank and cash flows etc, and assisting in negotiations of bank facilities at best possible terms.
- Analyzing & interpreting of the financial statements and compilation of accounting ratios etc.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory & regulatory provisions for external audit, taxation, legal matters & other applicable laws & statutes.
- Directing the preparation of financial reports, including cash flow, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies and reports to shareholders.
- Monitoring the preparation of annual budgets, business reviews, forecasting, performance analyses and strategic planning.
- Translating the vision and plans into operational targets and numbers and prepare the variances and analysis reports.
- Monitoring the setting up, implementation and improvement of the company policies and procedures (financial & operational) and be responsible for the internal control and auditing.
- Ensuring integrity of the company's cash, receivables, and payables management and Supervises investment of funds.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and requirements of applicable Kingdom commercial, customs and tax laws, and with international accounting standards.
- Assisting subordinates in the day to day activities in accounting, finance, managing budgets, and participates in tax preparation and planning.
- Monitoring of funds on deposit in segregated accounts; work with banks and members to ensure capital deposits are sufficient for risk management.
- Preparing forecasts and analyses trends in, sales, finance, general business conditions and other areas.
- Performing economic research work and prepares analysis of subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investment and financial and expense performance comparisons.
- Ensuring that subordinates have the required knowledge, skills, competencies and experience in order to reach the Department's objectives.
- Tracking, rectifying, and following up in adhering to budget, and proposing fair justification for needed deviations, and or recommending and controlling solutions to overcome unaccepted or expected deviations.
- Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates for reviewing progress and work flow, discussing their suggestions and taking suitable actions accordingly.
- Preparing periodic reports with respect to the activities and achievements to be submitted to the direct supervisor for review.
- Specifying manpower requirements according to the recruitment and selection system and as per the human resources planning practices at the company.
- Identifying training needs of subordinates and evaluating the outcomes of the training courses in coordination with the concerned personnel in the Human Resources and Administration Division.
- Following-up on subordinates’ affairs including vacations, leaves …etc.
