A well respected medium sized transport and logistic company located in Jeddah – KSA is looking for key personnel to support their innovative and exciting corporate objectives.
The opportunity
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced and passionate senior procurement and contract management professional to oversee and manage the procurement and contract management function.
In this role you will provide leadership across all organizational functions to understand, manage and provide procurement and contract development and ongoing procurement and contract management services to support the organization’s objectives. You will also manage and execute higher value quotations, tenders, contractual terms and conditions for complex contracts.
The ideal candidate must have strong people leadership experience and a proven track record in successfully undertaking procurement and contract management initiatives that have positively contributed to an organization’s sustainable competitive advantage and business performance.
Reporting to the CEO, in this role you will:
- Own, oversee and manage the procurement and contract management strategy for the organization
- Coach, guide and mentor the organization’s team members involved with suppliers
- Actively partner with business units to understand stakeholder requirements to ensure value for money outcomes and risk assured solutions are achieved
- Provide day-to-day operational commercial advice, to all parts of the organization, that are required to procure goods, works or services - developing procurement and contract management agreements / plans, and provide guidance to the organization where appropriate
- Manage supplier and contractor relationships and performance at a commercial level to enable benefit realisation and maximisation over the life of a contract
- Liaise with business units to ensure specifications are developed in accordance with commercial requirements
- Development and release of competitive RFx for the provision of goods, works and services to support the organization’s corporate and operational requirements
- Plan and execute procurement project requirements and establishment of priorities, having a full understanding of “project” procurement requirements and timelines required by the organization
- Be actively involved to drive contract negotiations including maintaining appropriate contract, supplier and certification databases
- Monitoring and reporting of procurement waivers, breaches and off contract expenditure in collaboration with the organization to drive procurement compliance
- Develop procurement category strategy approaches and articulate with internal stakeholders the opportunities and benefits
- Use stakeholder mapping techniques to understand the influence of external stakeholders on procurement activities
- Develop, implement and manage systems and procedures to guide work and track progress that align to principles of accountability, scalability, probity and value for money
- Be committed to delivering high quality outcomes for organization/s
- Build trust through consistent actions, values and communication.
