Job Purpose:
• The Spa Director has the ultimate responsibility for overseeing spa operations,
managing the spa team to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience,
and keep operating costs within defined budgets.
• You should demonstrate leadership throughout the Spa to maximize Guest and
Team satisfaction, be responsible for all Spa policies and procedures and have
direct supervision over the spa team.
• As Spa Director, you are accountable for overseeing the spa operations and sap
team to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience, and manage
customer feedback.
Key Performance Indicators
1. Customer Related
• The effectiveness of annual objectives and activities plans
• Quality of Spa operations
2. People Related
• The effectiveness of coordination between Spa team members
3. Process Related
• Achievement of quality improvements as agreed by the Quality Committee
• Implementation of policies, processes, and standards to govern the activities of
• Spa operations
4. Finance Related
• Management of costs within the defined budget
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain an
excellent standard of customer service
• Directly supervise the Spa Management
• Actively create and promote special packages and events.
• Assist in promoting and marketing the Spa
• Demonstrate the leadership necessary to attain business goals and objectives
• Interact with guests, as needed, to ensure optimum guest service and
satisfaction.
• Analyze and translate guest interactions into service and facility
improvements.
• Respond to employee and guest needs with genuine concern and a sense of urgency
• Oversee the development of business strategies and project plans to ensure that the design and implementation of new concepts, methods, and policies and
procedures relating to the Spa are aligned with company and department goals
• Communicate thoroughly, clearly and concisely across departments and
through levels within the company
• Promote an atmosphere of teamwork within the department
• Manage, coach and direct associates within the Spa department
• Manage the maintenance of the spa facilities.
• Oversee the hiring process, coaching, developing and training of staff within the Spa department
