Program, test, and revise machine programming.
• Analyze blueprints and job orders before programming and compare results with original specifications.
• decide the sequence in which the machine operations have to be carried out and the amount of material to be removed in each step of the sequence.
• Ensuring repeatability of machines, programs, and fixturing.
• Tooling and design of machining, including mills, and lathes.
• Read and understand CNC programs.
• Review 3D CAD design blueprints.
• Determine sequence of operations in a program.
• Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency.
• Read, understand and take appropriate corrective action to messages in programs.
• Responsible for the basic upkeep and corrections to programs as well as the associated files, structures, and paperwork.
• Apply basic mathematics to relate measured dimensions to product specifications.
• Understand technical terms related to turning and machining processes.
• Create instructions for machinists.
• Work directly with machine operators and engineers to develop and proof programs
