Jacobs, Zamel and Turbag Consulting Engineers (Jacobs ZATE) is the principal operating company of our global Jacobs organization in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a multi-discipline professional engineering and project management services provider to local projects with over 1,800 resources in our home offices and in the field across Saudi Arabia covering Downstream, Upstream, Petrochemicals and Buildings and Infrastructure projects. We also have large presence across the Middle East covering Bahrain, Qatar, UAE and Oman in addition to Saudi Arabia. The total regional strength is in excess of 2,500 resources.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will report functionally to the Mechanical Department Manager and on a project basis to the Project Manager. The candidate will be the discipline engineer on the assigned project and experience shall include:
Mechanical Engineer with refinery, petrochemical and chemical project experience in the design and engineering of various types of Heat Transfer Equipment such as, but not limited to, shell and tube exchangers, air cooled heat exchangers, and packaged equipment.
Projects involved shall include greenfield, brownfield revamp, studies, FEED and Detail Design and required experience with development of engineering/procurement documents including data sheets, material requisitions (MRs), technical bid clarifications, technical bid evaluations (TBEs), purchase requisitions and vendor drawing review.
Knowledge of thermal design using HTRI, mechanical design using ASPEN EDR and familiarity with industry codes including TEMA, API and ASME Code is essential.
Additional knowledge on combustion equipment such as fired heaters and boilers will be preferable.
Candidate should have ability to interact with internal Engineering/Design disciplines during the course of projects.
Also need good communication skills, interpersonal skills, flexibility and ability to work under pressure to meet project milestones.
