- Engineering, designing, configuring, installing, integrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting of enterprise LAN/WAN networks and systems (enterprise converged networks, wired and wireless).
- Assessment and optimization of the LAN/WAN networks, through network monitoring, statistics, and daily health checks.
- Coordinates service calls and schedules appointments with external service providers to ensure satisfactory resolution of problems and malfunctions.
- Maintains accurate and comprehensive documentation diagrams of Network Infrastructure.
- Maintains enterprise wide IP addressing scheme.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and technologies for converged data/voice/video network vendor products.
- Identify network trends and abnormalities and proactively take steps to prevent performance impacts to network traffic and business function.
- Perform pro-active support functions and reporting to maintain the integrity of the enterprise network equipment and infrastructure.
- Network Security - Firewalls, Intrusion detection, incident response and escalation, security policy articulation and compliance checking.
- Network performance evaluation, monitoring and optimization.
- Design, organize, and lead any required system integration efforts required for VoIP implementation, deployment and troubleshooting.
- Troubleshooting internal and external routing problems.
- Isolating and replacing failing switches.
- Design and documentation of the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN)
- Track the network communication devices and build-out status, specification and configuration of firewalls, switches, routers, VPN and other network devices
- The administration of all networking infrastructure and technologies including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, Intrusion detection/prevention, network management, customer/enterprise VPNs.
- Keep up with industry technologies, identify and advocate solutions for continuous improvement.
- Implement technologies, reporting, and process standards to optimize operational efficiency, availability, and performance to meet service levels.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand needs and implement solutions based on those needs.
- Manage project initiatives, create project and implementation plans, communicate with and coordinate internal and external project resources as needed.
- Define processes and supervise all change management activities associated with the network infrastructure including communications, approvals, procedural documentation, and production acceptance.
- Prepare RFP documents and recommend network solutions to management.
- Handle the technical evaluation for vendors proposals and interact with the procurement department to for any project.
- Check and monitor the execution of all the network tasks.
- Handle the network level 3 support cases on the network team for resolution
- Handle the level 3 escalations for any network issue that could be escalated by the service desk team.
- Daily management and prioritization of project initiatives with production operational workloads.
- Routine reporting of operational and project status.
- Handle the vendors communications as required
- Participate in the preparation of network projects budgets
- Control licenses and renew support contracts
- Supply periodic reports to the management
- Build the network availability and capacity reports and submit them to the management
- Participate in services review meetings to discuss network services levels achievements
