- On-Call responsibilities, create documentation, resolve support tickets and meet SLAs with business.
- Supporting production environment as per the availability and change management process
- Perform standard system administration tasks as necessary to keep a system up and running. This includes the tuning of the operating system to achieve maximum functionality in the networking environment in which the system is installed.
- Work closely with the system/software vendors to install and support the latest software and hardware patches
- Perform in a team-orientated atmosphere, working with end users, developers, and other system administrators to determine the best possible method of supporting the systems.
- Work closely with members of the various IT teams to provide input for problem solving and provide input to facilitate future growth of the business.
- Provide problem resolution of systems and networks for local and remote users.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for production servers.
- Regulatory awareness/compliance as it relates to System Administration and Operations
- Manage vendor relationships and assist in selecting and/or upgrading hardware for AMG data Centre.
- Evaluate AMG data centers for rollouts and provide recommendations for their selection
- Provide cost and capacity estimates
- Define high-level functional requirements. Establish design requirements, traceability and flow-down requirements to mechanical, sensor, electrical, and software sub-systems.
- Define system interfaces and resolve HW/SW integration issues.
- Develop System Description Documents, Certification Test Plans and other documents required for CID certification.
- Leading internal and customer design reviews,
- Provide input on project schedules and budgets,
- Handling level three escalations for any systems related issue that is escalated by the management or team leaders.
- Preparing RFP and presenting recommendations to management.
- Technical evaluation and interaction with AMG procurement department for related projects.
- Checking and monitoring the execution of all the system tasks.
- Vendor communications.
- Contribute in budget preparation if requested
- Controlling licensing and supporting contract renew.
- Submitting monthly and weekly reports.
- Submitting the availability report
