Transport Officer Job Responsibilities:
- Distribute, maintain, repair and utilize of all the vehicle fleet of the area.
- Ensure the proper utilization and efficient use of the funds being granted to the transport office.
- Allocate and proper rotation of appropriate work and assignments to the employees or junior officers.
- Carry out the tasks such as attending and heading meetings which are to decide the welfare of the transportation facilities of that particular area or district.
- Submit regular and comprehensive monthly reports to the supervisor on vehicle movements and
problems. - Track vehicle and fuel usage and consumption rates; ensure that potential problems or fuel misuse is
raised to management. - Ensure drivers have an up-to-date and proper license.
- Track vehicle registration and insurance and work with procurement to ensure these are always.
renewed in a timely manner. - Manage relations with vehicle rental vendors.
- Ensure the maintenance, oiling and servicing schedule of the vehicles is followed.
- Perform any other related duties when required.
